Intel raised their X25-M SSD prices sometime recently. In July, they dropped the 160 GB from around $630 to $440 and the 80 GB from $315 to $225. Those prices held steadily since then.
Unfortunately, they’re now back up to their pre-drop prices: $630 and $350. Hopefully this is the result of a temporary shortage or other supply-chain issue.
I was really looking forward to buying one of these after the next major price drop, when I could presumably get 160 GB for around $350, but that seems further off than I expected.
