This is really interesting: photos of common food items (fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, grains, dairy, condiments, sweets, etc.) in 300-calorie quantities.
Some things that were lower-calorie than I expected for their given volumes:
- ice cream (my expectations were pretty bad)
- sliced ham
- baked potatoes
- canned corn
And some things that were much higher-calorie than I expected:
- most fruits
- gummy bears
I’m especially surprised at how easily I can assemble a delicious, low-calorie meal from basic ingredients (meat, vegetables, pasta/rice).
