AT&T might screw up the iPhone 3G launch

Neither of these will be deal-breakers, but they both kinda suck if true:
- The 3G iPhone’s plan is $10/month more, starting at $70. This is annoying, but it’s still extremely competitive than what other carriers charge for 400 minutes, unlimited data, and 200 text messages.
- Existing iPhone owners might need to pay a $175 ETF to upgrade their phones? Sounds incorrect, especially since the source is a TechCrunch article, but that would explain why the starting price is so low. Can’t I just extend my unsubsidized original-iPhone contract to last 2 years from July 11?
