I think I’ve figured out a solution.

1. Get your own nameplate made somewhere. (I bet the internet will do it cheaply.)
2. On it, give yourself a title that sounds significantly, outrageously more important than your actual job title.

Then see how quickly they correct the problem by making you a more accurate one.
