Enjoying Apple’s latest software

- I’m now using the Snow Leopard “Developer Preview” (near-release beta) on my main computer, and it’s great so far.
- Just switched from Firefox to Safari 4. It can print without crashing! It’s also much faster, more responsive, less buggy, and better integrated into the OS with little handy things like drag-and-drop file support (into and out of the browser).
- Started using iPhone OS 3.0 on my main iPhone today. So far, so good.
- Started coding the next version of Instapaper, 2.1, to require iPhone OS 3.0. After just one day of work, this has already allowed me to delete a lot of clunky code that manually hacked together functionality that 3.0 provides in much simpler ways. I’m also finally starting to use Interface Builder and nib files for interfaces instead of coding them all, which replaces even more clunky manual code.
I like where they’re going with all of this stuff.
